Katie E. Bradford (Ph.D., The University of Texas at Austin, 2020) teaches undergraduate courses in communication theory and practices, currently “Conflict Resolution” and “Communicating with Stuff.” As an educator, her goal is to help students become introspective about their own perceptions and communication, and to develop spoken and written communication skills for success beyond the classroom. Katie’s research involves analyzing video-based data to explain how people integrate technology use into their face-to-face conversations. Dr. Bradford previously worked for Pearson Education as a developmental editor of college textbooks, and later as a freelance editor of scholarly papers. She holds a B.A. in English from UT-Austin, and an M.A. in English Linguistics and a Certificate in Scholarly Publishing from Arizona State University, and an ACUE Certificate in Effective College Instruction.
