Tracy Arrington is a marketing and media executive with more than 25 years of experience serving the world’s top brands. Her tough yet diplomatic nature and dedication to efficient, effective and ethical performance have delivered strong, quantifiable results for clients including AT&T, Bank of America, BMW, CVS Health, Dreamworks, Johnson & Johnson, Nike, Ole Smoky Moonshine, META, Shell, Taco Bell, Tootsie Roll Industries, the US Air Force, and Walmart.
Tracy currently serves as the Founder and CEO of The Special Teams Project, a modern consulting firm unlocking what's next in business through expert communications, marketing, and data solutions. STP is frequently called upon for executive ideation, business, communications, marketing, and media strategy, agency search support, process improvement, and advanced analytics.
Tracy has served on the University of Texas at Austin faculty for more than a decade, authoring and teaching the capstone course of the top-ranked Texas Media and Analytics program, Media Investments and Analytics. She also teaches the capstone of the Advertising and PR program, Integrated Campaign Communications, Advertising Media Planning, and is currently building artificial intelligence curriculum. Beyond teaching, Tracy serves as the Marketing Lead on the Hot Science TV Task Force, working to bring a new science-focused television show to market, in collaboration with the Jackson School of Geoscience. She also serves as a keynote speaker for Texas Global, hosting workshops for cohorts of business leaders from around the world, leading discussions focused on data strategy, marketing, media, business operations, AI, and customer experience (CX).
Tracy published her first book, 101 Things I Learned in Advertising School, through Penguin Random House in 2018, was named Educator of the Year in 2022 by the American Advertising Foundation, and has been named Media Buyer of the Year by American Women in Media four times in her career.
